Insulation resistance tester for solar power generation
This is a measuring instrument for solar power generation that can perform insulation resistance tests at a string voltage of DC 1,500 V.
In recent years, mega-solar installations have been constructed with string voltages exceeding 1000V due to the increase in module capacity and the reduction in the number of components in the system. Until now, only insulation resistance meters capable of measuring up to 1000V were available, so insulation resistance tests were likely conducted at night when the system was not generating power. This measuring device performs insulation resistance tests using a method that does not cause short circuits, as specified in the JPEA guidelines. It measures in the order of P-E and N-E, allowing for measurements to be taken without damaging the solar cells, even if there are abnormalities present. [Other Functions] ● Quantifies the state of insulation degradation ● Function to identify ground fault locations in strings (up to 50 modules) ● Continuity check function for the grounding wire connected from the module to the grounding terminal Weighing only 1.2 kg, this handheld type is lightweight and suitable for on-site completion inspections and regular inspections.
